About the Role:
This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical building systems, including HVAC, BMS, DI water, boilers, and chillers, to support high-performance facility operations. You'll lead preventive and emergency maintenance efforts, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and collaborate across teams to support production and utility systems in a dynamic, technical environment.Work Schedule:

- Days: 4 days per week

Night Shift: 2 consecutive weeks
- Hours: 6:00 PM -- 6:00 AM
- Days: 4 shifts per week
This rotating schedule provides built-in coverage and allows for extended breaks between cycles.
What You'll Do:
- Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire/life safety, and control systems. This includes oversight of Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor HVAC, lighting, and other facility systems, ensuring optimal performance and responding to system alarms.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety, including OSHA, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Maintain an energy management program and ensure all systems operate efficiently. This includes managing closed-loop cooling systems and chillers, monitoring flow rates, temperatures, and pressures, and servicing associated pumps and valves.
- Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform emergency repairs as needed, including boiler operations and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and safe workplace, especially when handling chemical dosing, filtration, and system flushing for DI water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Review inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and DI water generation/distribution systems to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities and meets environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions, including troubleshooting BMS and electrical control systems.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Support fabrication equipment and utility distribution systems to meet production requirements.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information clearly and professionally.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4--5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Universal HVAC certification (EPA 608) preferred. Additional certifications such as Boiler Technician, DI Water Plant operation, or Stationary Engineer license are highly desirable.
- Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and respond effectively to equipment failures and emergencies.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions and contribute to cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, especially in mechanical systems, electrical controls, and BMS programming.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
- Flexibility to work shifts or respond to off-hour emergencies.
