Genesis Packaging Technologies, a Division of RV Industries, Inc, provides a line of Parenteral Vial Capping machinery and Laboratory Inspection Equipment used primarily in the Pharmaceutical Industry. This product line is a highly configurable standard product. Our objective is to differentiate our product by providing market leading energy efficiency, process flexibility, and non-proprietary components backed by excellent service and support.GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Machinists prepare and operate a variety of machines (Lathe, Vertical Machining Center), to produce precision parts from various metal & polymer types (Stainless, Carbon, Alum; Cast, Exotics, Delrin, UHMW, Various Plastics) and configurations (Forging, Bar Stock Weldments, Casting, Plate) DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
All Machines:
- Select, set up, remove, and debur all tooling and parts
- Responsible for machining and initial inspection of part being made
- Have a thorough understanding of the speeds and feeds of the machine and how it relates to the material being cut
- Responsible for predefined Preventative Maintenance Tasks
Lathe:
• Operate a Hardinge Lathe
Vertical Machining Center:
• Operate a Bridgeport Mill with 2 axis digital readout Receipt Inspection
Receipt Inspection:
• Periodic inspection of vendor received parts
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS- Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
- 3+ years’ experience as a manual machinist
- Multi-tasking ability and Organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Demonstrated safety awareness and training in a construction/manufacturing environment
- Time management and flexibility
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Self-motivated and able to keep a clean, organized workspace
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
- Must have an understanding of the different speeds, feeds, and their relation to material
- Able to take direction and constructive criticism
- Capable of fitting and building small assemblies from drawings
- Willingness to work Overtime as needed to meet customer demand
EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to complete and pass a physical assessment
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
- Every day repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement, involving gripping and wrist torquing
- Every day standing, walking, bending, crouching, and stooping
- Everyday lifting 25-50 lbs.
- Exposure to moving machinery, dust, dirt, grease, or other disagreeable element
