Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Location: Bellefonte Area School District, Bellefonte, PA (serving Clearfield area) – Central Pennsylvania OT jobs
• Assignment Type: Travel Occupational Therapist Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
• Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-hour shifts per week (08:00 – 16:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $2,200
• Patient Caseload: Approximately 45 students (Pediatrics & Adolescents)

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NBCOT certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
• First-time travel OTs welcome – ideal for those seeking travel healthcare jobs
• Preferred: Fieldwork or experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
• Experience with electronic charting systems (any system accepted)
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and Childline clearance upon contract signing
• Lab work required within 72 hours of contract signing
• No local candidates (must reside 50+ miles from facility)

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services to pediatric and adolescent students with diverse diagnoses, including autism, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and developmental delays
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting fine motor skills, mobility, bilateral hand skills, educational tool use, visual motor skills, dexterity, social-emotional regulation, printing skills, self-care, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Utilize specialized equipment such as splints, slant boards, resistive bands, pencil grips, adaptive eating utensils, and fine motor tools
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary school teams to support student progress and educational goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting in compliance with school and healthcare regulatory standards
• Engage with students, families, and staff to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
