Job Description
This platform will integrate diverse data sources and leverage AI/ML solutions for industry-specific challenges, enabling Oracle Industry Applications to unlock value from their data. We are looking for a visionary technical leader with experience developing enterprise data architectures in cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure), delivering robust, compliant, and scalable solutions that drive business success. You will be responsible for defining data models and architectures that ensure data is collected, stored, structured, and accessed optimally to support diverse business initiatives within Oracle Industry Applications. You will play a key role in selecting fit-for-purpose data technologies-including data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics services-and setting policies to uphold data governance, quality, and security. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, translating business needs into reliable and innovative data solutions. Expertise in cloud-based data services (AWS, OCI, Azure) is mandatory.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

7+ years' experience in data architecture, with proven success designing large-scale enterprise data platforms.

Expertise in data modeling, data integration, and advanced analytics architectures.

Hands-on experience implementing solutions using enterprise data storage (warehouses/lakes), data pipelines, and AI/ML integrations.

Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Kafka, Java, Scala) with experience in distributed data processing technologies (e.g. Spark, Databricks, Apache Beam)

Deep knowledge of cloud data ecosystems on AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and/or Azure; familiarity with their native data and AI/ML services.

Experience implementing medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layer concepts) for structured, scalable, and high-quality data management.**

Strong understanding of data governance, quality, security, and compliance best practices; experience in regulated industries is a plus.

Proficiency with industry-standard tools for data modeling, ETL/ELT, data cataloging, and metadata management.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and mentor technical teams.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:**

Design and oversee the enterprise data platform architecture, integrating multiple internal and external data sources to power Oracle Industry Applications.

Develop and maintain robust data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML-driven applications in Oracle Industry Applications.

Select and implement optimal data storage and processing technologies (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, ETL pipelines) tailored to platform needs.

Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational best practices.

Define and implement data quality, data lineage, and metadata management processes.

Collaborate with data engineers on architectural standards, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines.

Partner with business teams to understand data requirements, industry-specific use cases, and to identify and prioritize new data sources for Oracle Industry Applications.

Evaluate and refine platform performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

Champion cloud-first and cloud-native architectures using OCI, AWS, and/or Azure services.

Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior architects and engineering teams.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
