Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Allison Park

• Start Date: April or May
• Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays, Hours similar to 7 am - 6 pm, 22 Guaranteed Hours; flexible on the two days of the week offered for the right fit
• Hourly Rate: $33
• Children: Ages 4 and 2
• Pets: 1 Black lab
• Paid Vacation: 22 hours family’s choice, 22 hours nanny’s choice, 2 sick days, and 3 paid holidays
• Requirements: Fully vaccinated including annual flu

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Can you turn a living room into a blanket fort before lunchtime? Do you believe childhood should be filled with imagination, fresh air, and plenty of muddy boots? A thoughtful, warm Allison Park family is searching for a playful and nurturing nanny to join their parenting team and care for their two energetic toddlers. Four years ago, they found their wonderful nanny through East Wind Nannies, and she has become deeply loved by the entire family. As life shifts, they are now looking for another exceptional caregiver to step into this special role. The family currently works with two part-time nannies who collaborate beautifully together, and the household runs with a spirit of flexibility and teamwork. They are thoughtful, respectful employers who genuinely value the role a nanny plays in their children’s lives — and they work hard to create an environment where their caregivers feel supported, trusted, and appreciated. The family is open to swapping days with their other nanny if it helps create the right long-term fit.

  Your days will revolve around two delightful kids who love being busy. Big brother is four years old and full of boundless energy and big feelings. He’s imaginative, curious, and full of energy — the kind of kid who loves bike rides, backyard adventures, and turning everyday moments into a game. His little sister, age two, is sunshine in human form — happy, playful, and always eager to join whatever fun her big brother has started. These kids thrive with a nanny who really plays — someone who builds on their curiosity, gets down on the floor, and embraces the silliness of toddler life. Their current nanny is known for turning ordinary days into adventures: library story hours, playground visits, museum outings, and creative games that often involve forts in multiple rooms of the house. The family keeps a low-screen household, so their days are filled with books, crafts, puzzles, and outdoor play in every season. You’ll take the kids to and from school or activities using your own vehicle (car seats will be provided and properly installed). The drives are typically about 15 minutes, and safety is extremely important to the family. During quieter moments, help with the children’s laundry, light tidying, and simple meal prep for the kids will be appreciated. The family also shares their home with a sweet black lab who is well cared for by a dog walker, though a little extra affection is always welcome. This family values strong communication and truly views their nanny as part of the team, helping to raise their children. They appreciate caregivers who share observations, collaborate on approaches to challenges, and work together toward what’s best for the kids.
