Responsibilities:

The Software Architect leads the design and implementation of complex software systems, making high-level design choices and setting technical standards that guide development teams. This role is responsible for ensuring that software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business and technical goals. The Software Architect serves as a technical leader, collaborating across teams and mentoring engineers through architectural challenges and strategic decision-making.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Analyze software requirements and define system components to ensure efficient, scalable, and maintainable architecture.
• Design and implement software solutions that balance business needs, technical constraints, and compatibility with existing systems.
• Define and enforce technical standards, including coding practices, tools, and platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to align architectural decisions with business objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend software, hardware, and integration methods to support system goals.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, including design specifications and diagrams, to support ongoing development and maintenance.
• Oversee implementation efforts to ensure alignment with architectural intent and system design.
• Conduct code and architecture reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
• Address architectural concerns such as performance bottlenecks, scalability, and system reliability.
• Work with non-technical stakeholders to analyze requirements, understand constraints, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding development teams through complex challenges and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
• Provide meaningful contributions to the code base when applicable (20% of time devoted to contributions).


SKILLS
• Deep understanding of software design principles (e.g., SOLID) and architectural styles such as microservices, serverless, monolithic, and event-driven systems
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks like Angular; experience with Azure is preferred
• Strong grasp of system integration, API design, and enterprise architecture patterns
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide development teams through architectural decisions and technical challenges
• Proven ability to translate complex problems into scalable, maintainable solutions that align with business goals
• Experience creating and maintaining architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and technical standards
• Ability to stay current with emerging technologies, evaluate their relevance, and advocate for adoption where appropriate
• Familiarity with architecture governance, technical road-mapping, and long-term system planning
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing technical direction across multiple projects or departments
• Advanced knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, and data privacy regulations
• Experience in the financial services domain or other regulated industries preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
• Visually able to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
• Ability to sit for extended time periods
• Sufficient manual skill for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment
• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
• Ability to exert minimum amounts of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects

Qualifications:

8-10 years of related experience

We are excited to offer a competitive salary for this position. This figure serves as the entry point in our salary range, and there is potential for the actual salary to be higher based on a variety of factors, such as your experience, skills, education, and location. We believe in recognizing and rewarding talent, so our compensation packages are thoughtfully designed to reflect the unique qualifications and contributions of each candidate.

The minimum salary for this position is: $129,000+/yr About Us:
