What You’ll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement ML/AI models for SMART crack growth functions in advanced structural analysis.
• Develop and validate numerical examples utilizing SMART technology for benchmarking and research purposes.
• Build finite element models and run simulations using Ansys APDL software to support crack growth modeling projects.
• Apply analytical or numerical methods to process, compare, and validate simulation results.
• Engage with global leaders at Ansys, contributing innovative ideas and working alongside experts in the field.

What You’ll Need:

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical, Civil, or Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or a related field.
• Strong background in computational mechanics and numerical analysis.
• In-depth understanding of finite element formulations or other numerical simulation methods.
• Excellent technical knowledge with practical experience in simulation and modeling.
• Proven ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative spirit across teams and geographies.
