Material Control Coordinator

Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a Material Control Coordinator to take care of material control and inventory operations within a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment. This role will process material transactions , production requirements , documentation , and ERP data accuracy while supporting cross‑functional teams. We want someone who is highly organized , process‑focused , and comfortable working in an ERP system to support daily operations and continuous improvement efforts.

Job Details:

• Type of Employment: Full-time
• Location: Jefferson Hills, PA
• Division/Department : Process Equipment Division/Material Control
• Reports to: Material Control Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle material transactions, production requests, and internal cost/lead‑time quotes using Microsoft D365
• Process parts requisitions accurately and efficiently to support production schedules
• Update open production requirement and shortage reports
• Create complete, accurate job packets for Manufacturing and Assembly teams
• Process nonconforming material and work closely with Production and Procurement to resolve issues
• Follow all Material Control procedures, work instructions, and documentation requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Material Control function
• Provide backup support to the Material Control Supervisor as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted; assistance required for items over 60 lbs
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and twist as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, inventory control, or material control
• 3+ years of Material Control experience
• Experience with Microsoft D365 or other ERP systems
• Post‑secondary coursework in computer or business systems
• Ability to read engineering drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs).
