Manufacturing Process Technician Lead

We’re working with a well-established manufacturer in East Butler, PA to identify a Manufacturing Process Technician Lead. If you have an eye for creating efficiencies and optimizing production operations and equipment, this might be the role for you!

Full-time temp to hire position offering a full benefits package after being hired permanently by the company. Benefits upon hire include:

Schedule : Rotating 8-hour shift schedule (7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm & 11pm - 7am, all required).

  • Monday - Friday schedule with night shifts starting at 11pm on Sundays.

Pay Rate : $20/hour

  • Once hired on permanently there is a Shift Differential: + $.75/hour for all hours worked from 3pm - 7am

We’re looking for someone who has some manufacturing / production related experience, demonstrates strong potential for this type of role, and the desire to grow and move into a supervisory level role within the organization over time.

This person will spend most of their time on the plant floor with production employees, examining equipment, processes and operations, and suggesting and implementing production improvements, as necessary.

Responsibilities: While the primary supervisor is absent, this process technician will be responsible for the following:

  • Adjusting press settings like steam, heat, temperature, cooling time, etc. to fix issues with parts.
  • Assisting team members with press issues, training and problem solving.
  • Conducting back-up Safety, OSHA and other training as required
  • Participating in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participating as department representative for all meetings on shift.
  • Acting as “manager on duty” as needed.
  • Press operation - counting and visually inspecting parts.
  • Performing quality inspections to ensure products meet all specifications.
  • Fork truck operation (will train!)
  • Documentation under ISO/IATF guidelines.
  • Cross train on all equipment in the department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2-year technical degree OR the equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to teach others mechanical and technical skills.
  • Must be able to climb and work from a ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Position requires the following PPE: safety shoes, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
  • Pre-employment requirements include a background check and drug screen.

  • Forklift Licensed
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • High School / GED
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Basic Computer Skills
