A 13-week pharmacist opportunity is available at a large 500-bed hospital setting. This contract position offers a variable days and afternoons schedule, ideal for professionals seeking flexible hours with an ASAP start. Located near York, PA, the role involves supporting a busy inpatient pharmacy team through various critical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing
- Supervise pharmacy technicians, maintaining workflow and compliance
- Consult with physicians regarding medication management and patient care
- Perform pharmacokinetics assessments to optimize drug therapy
- Utilize IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for pharmacy operations
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license is required
- Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices and clinical skills
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems advantageous
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
