Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Railcar Repairman to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing both mechanical and welding repairs on railcars, with an emphasis on safety and quality. This is a physically demanding position that involves working in a challenging, industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform 60% mechanical work and 40% welding work to repair railcars.
• Work safely around heavy equipment, railcars, and railroad tracks.
• Coordinate and complete all railcar repairs and maintenance.
• Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints/schematics for repairs.
• Utilize mechanical skills and tools to weld, cut, and gouge.
• Notify of any materials/equipment needed for task completion.
• Adhere to all safety rules, maintain a clean work area, and comply with Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with FRA, AAR, and customer quality standards.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to complete the job.
• Support essential functions of the job through ancillary duties.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
