Maintenance Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

CHURCH

• Clean church including vacuuming, cry room, all vestibules, sacristy and bathroom

• Stock bathrooms

• Remove trash and flowers

CHURCH HALL

• Stock bathrooms

• Monitor kitchen and clean when needed

• Set up for use upon request

• Remove trash daily and after events

SPIRITUALITY CENTER

• Remove trash daily, especially from the kitchen

• Clean entire first floor including: kitchen, dining room, chapel, sacristy, St. Vincent/Legion room and living room

• Clean entrances, hallways, stairways

• Set up according to weekly functions

• Clean and stock bathrooms

• Outside stairway- Check and clean exterior drain and sweep steps

• Assist Rectory cleaner when requested

PARISH CENTER

• Clean all rooms

• Mop floors in bathroom, kitchen, vestibule and walkway between school and parish center

• Stock bathroom and clean at least 2 times per week

• Vacuum and dust all rooms, stairways and hallways

• Empty trash

HISTORY ROOM

• Clean and set up according to functions

AA ROOM

• Clean and set up according to functions

SCHOOL (on a Daily basis)

• Clean all bathrooms (toilets, sinks, floor) as needed

• Empty all trash cans at end of each day including Cares Room (between 3:30-3:45 PM)

• Stock supply closets

• Stock and check all bathrooms after school for running water and toilets, turn out lights and close windows

• Clean hallways/classrooms as needed for spills/vomit, etc.

GYM

• Stock and clean bathrooms

• Monitor kitchen, clean when needed

• Set up for use upon request (parish, school, and other events)

UPON REQUEST

• Post Office

• Church plaques

• Sam’s Club

• Check and clean exterior drains for leaves

• Set-up for big functions and assist with what is needed to be done

• Assist Maintenance Director when needed

• Change outdoor sign

• Clean grounds around school and church when needed
