Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with tool and die machinists to learn and support tooling, mold, and manufacturing processes
• Assist in the design, modification, and improvement of mechanical components, tooling, and molds
• Support foundry-related activities, including casting processes, mold design considerations, and material selection
• Create and update engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturability
• Troubleshoot mechanical and manufacturing issues alongside engineering and shop-floor personnel
• Follow established safety, quality, and engineering standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience (internship or co-op experience may be considered)
• Basic knowledge of foundry operations, metal casting processes, and casting molds
• Willingness and ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment
• Strong interest in learning from experienced tool and die machinists
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Basic proficiency with Siemens NX software
• Portfolio of past projects available for review and discussion during interview process
