Job Description (Part Time Position) (10 hours per week)
Organization Description
RAISE28 exists to reach local youth with the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Located in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, the center and its staff seek to encourage, develop, and equip our youth to experience the love of God. We do this by forging healthy relationships, praying, teaching God’s Word, and offering supervised recreation. This is all accomplished through the partnerships of local churches, volunteer organizations, businesses and individuals.
Program Description
RAISE28 offers programs for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. We offer weekly afterschool and summer programs which include open gym time, games, arts and crafts, bible lessons, discipleship, life skill development, and meals. In addition, we offer music and martial arts classes.
Job Summary
The Communications Manager is a year round position that will provide support and creativity to convey our ministry accurately and attractively. This person will work to achieve the mission and vision of RAISE28 through creating positive experiences for visitors who come to our social media pages and other digital communications. The candidate will develop strategies to increase community support and engagement with RAISE28 through marketing and print communication. The Communications Manager will also work alongside the other staff members and volunteers while reporting directly to the Executive Director.
Primary Responsibilities and Commitments
· Collaborate with Executive Director and Director of Student Ministries to fully understand communication needs throughout the year
· Showcase RAISE28 programs, events, and fundraisers through the use of communication tools (social media, presentations, videos, email, printed materials, etc.)
· Make multiple posts weekly on social media (facebook, Instagram)
· Responsible for registration and renewal of all site related domain and SSL subscriptions
· Coordinate accurate, consistent, compelling, and SEO-friendly listings
· Communicate and coordinate with staff regarding functionality and improvements.

· Fully embrace the mission, vision, and values of RAISE28
· High school diploma or associate’s degree.
· Experience as an office assistant or in related field.
· Ability to write clearly and help with word processing when necessary.
· Warm personality with strong communication skills.
· Ability to work well under limited supervision.
· Self-motivated and adaptable; well organized to select priorities and handle multiple tasks
· Great communication skills.
· Have a valid driver license.
Compensation
Hourly rate: 5-10 hours a week. Pay-rate varies based on qualification and experience.
