Description

JOB SUMMARY : Responsible for understanding and diagnosing data flows; designing and creating corporate data assets; building systematic processes to update and refresh data assets as new data becomes available; building systematic processes to monitor and curate those data assets; analyzing database and data flow performance and maintaining its peak efficiency. Responsible for ensuring that data integration among and between corporate data assets produces the desired result. This position will be responsible for creating reports and analysis in support of project planning and implementation of process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for administration, configuration, development, improvement, and maintenance of corporate systems and databases.
2. Establish and maintain company-wide data standards by collaborating regularly with IT and other department leaders.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
4. Analyze data and apply findings to help improve processes and maximize all available opportunities.
5. Develop and maintain reporting systems, analytics infrastructure, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
6. Perform special projects as assigned by Benecon leadership.
7. Evaluate vendors, products, and technologies to automate workflow processes and improve the company’s operational efficiency and analytical capabilities.
8. Maintain open, regular communication and collaborate with the department leaders on all cross-divisional and/or company-wide projects.

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 90% of the workday.
2. Must be able to talk on the phone.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or a technology-related field.
2. Minimum of one year experience with database systems (MS SQL Server) and SQL (MS SQL) required.
3. Experience with Python scripting language required.
4. Experience with Snowflake environment management preferred.
5. Functional experience with .Net programming environment (VB.net, C#, Visual Studio) preferred.
6. Advanced mathematical knowledge preferred.
7. Prior experience working with healthcare or health insurance data preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written format required.
2. Strong command of SQL and Python tools required.
3. Knowledge of database security and performance monitoring standards required.
4. Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling strongly preferred.
5. Knowledge of database design and theories required.
6. Familiarity with database management best practices preferred.
7. Ability to learn and apply new technology and software required.
8. Requires the ability to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
9. Requires the ability to work on multiple projects and to shift priorities.
