Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor in PreK-12 Literacy
Lehigh University’s College of Education invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or untenured Associate rank with a specialization in Pre K–12 literacy, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026, to be appointed within the School Psychology, Special Education, or Teaching, Learning and Technology programs. The successful candidate will choose which program(s) they will join that best matches their background and expertise.
The candidate will maintain a rigorous research agenda on the Science of Reading and/or reading disability, while pursuing external funding in a collaborative and supportive environment. The candidate will teach a range of graduate-level courses, including teacher‑preparation and doctoral courses related to literacy and reading instruction or intervention and will mentor graduate students. The candidate will participate in departmental, college, and university service. Lehigh University’s College of Education has five programs, including Counseling Psychology; Educational Leadership; School Psychology; Special Education; and Teaching, Learning, and Technology. Qualifications Candidates must have earned a doctorate in special education, school psychology, educational psychology, curriculum and instruction, or a closely related field by the date of employment. The successful candidate will have expertise in the Science of Reading and/or reading disability. Candidates should also have applied knowledge about PreK-12 educational settings. Commensurate with rank, candidates will have experience teaching in higher education.
