Job Title: Expert DevOps Engineer

Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks an Expert DevOps Engineer at our Newtown Square, PA location to serve as expert in network security engineering methods to defend DDoS cybersecurity threats and build robust internet edge security design and posture.

Expectations and Tasks:
Drive the effective and efficient delivery of customer environments in Cloud of respective product lines and to ensure the delivery according to defined Service Level Agreements. Define future automation strategy and model. Ensure smooth operations and maximize uptime. Provide technical expertise in IaaS and IaC, with a focus on network automation. Automate network infrastructure and help optimize network automation processes. Build, operate and maintain Cross-Cloud and Private Cloud connectivity services. Drive technology strategy by identifying and implementing innovative solutions for customer and DC connectivity. Collaborate effectively with a global and diverse team, including network engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders. Align with engineering and product management as well as other service groups. Build secure network architectures and high-availability networks. Analyze security requirements, identify vulnerabilities, and mitigate risks. Own and maintain technical standards and frameworks. Support field, account executives, consultants on stakeholder management and delivery. Project / Program management.

Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:
• DDoS Network Security;
• Radware DefensePro and CyberController;
• WAN Network Design and Architecture;
• BGP Internet Edge Routing;
• MPLS, L2VPN, and L3PVN Traffic Engineering;
• Netflow, and SNMP; and
• Python API automation, KVM, and VMWare.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $147,805 - $229,682. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $164,700 - $280,100. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
