Your Opportunity + ImpactLDG is currently seeking an experienced Transportation Construction Inspector (TCI) to support an upcoming bridge project. This role involves inspection work on PennDOT, PA Turnpike, and municipal infrastructure projects, with opportunities to contribute to high‑impact bridge construction and rehabilitation efforts across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspects, observes, and documents construction activities for Transportation and /or Civil projects.
- Uses various computer software programs to document observations and creates inspection reports.
- Continuously monitors work of team to ensure timely completion of project.
- Interacts in a professional manner with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis.
- Communicates information, responds to inquiries, and helps resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications.
- Utilizes technical references appropriately for the inspection of structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.
Education and Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or related construction inspection experience;.
- Licensures/Certifications: NICET Level II or higher in Highway Construction, NECEPT Bituminous Field & Concrete, and ACI preferred. Must possess valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in CDS NeXtGen or Kahua software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
