Reports To: Cultivation Manager
Pay/Salary: $18 an hour
Job Description
Terrapin is looking for a Cultivation Custodian to join our growing company. As a Clinton County, Penn.-based cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator and processor of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products with plans to open a retail footprint in Pennsylvania. With over 15 years of industry experience, Terrapin was licensed to operate in the Pennsylvania marketplace in 2017, growing to more than 200 employees. As we have expanded, our need for a Cultivation Custodian has grown significantly.
Responsibilities
- The Custodian ensures the cleanliness, habitability, and upkeep of the facility
- Clean the Cultivation department's rooms, hallways, lobbies, corridors and other work areas throughout the facility
- Sweep and mop the facility's floors
- Cleaning gutters, rails, spigots & transfer air handling units weekly
- Mopping up puddles as generated by cultivation processes
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles
- Identify and report building maintenance
- Assist in maintaining custodial closet; receive stock, organize and maintain supplies and equipment as necessary
- Submit purchase requests as needed
- Understand and follow all safety protocols, compliance, and SOPs
- Willingness to complete whatever task is necessary to get the job done
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- High attention to detail with ability to scout for disease and pests
- Strong work ethic with flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Proven ability to maintain consistency in a fast paced, hard-working, high-stress environment
- Ability to work in hot, humid conditions under bright lights
- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Must be able to stand/walk for the entire day
- Must be able to work sitting/standing/bending
- Must be comfortable working on ladders/scissor lifts
- Must be able to wear a respirator for up to 90 minutes at a time
