Expert-Level Test System Engineer (TS/SCI)

Job Title: Expert-Level Test Systems Engineer (NSG / ASG)

Location: Washington Metro Area or King of Prussia, PA

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance. Willingness to undergo a polygraph, if required.

We are seeking an Expert-Level Test Systems Engineer to lead and oversee application, system, and integration testing efforts supporting the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. This role ensures mission systems deliver accurate and timely GEOINT through rigorous test and evaluation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level engineers performing test and evaluation activities across NSG/ASG and Federal environments.
  
  
• Oversee application and API testing within DevOps pipelines using government-approved QA standards and industry best practices.
  
  
• Direct independent integration testing of software and hardware systems to validate compliance with requirements.
  
  
• Plan and execute both manual and automated test strategies.
  
  
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using scripting and programming languages.
  
  
• Lead root cause analysis and technical investigations for defects identified during testing.
  
  
• Ensure testing aligns with Agile, DevOps, and traditional development methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Engineering Management, MIS, or related STEM field — or equivalent additional experience.
  
  
• 18+ years of systems integration and/or testing experience in government or industry environments.
  
  
• Experience integrating and testing large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures.
  
  
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  
  
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and traditional SDLC testing strategies.
  
  
• Working knowledge of software development frameworks.
  
  
• Prior IC or DoD program experience.
  
  
• Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Masters degree in a related STEM field.
  
  
• Experience with tools such as JMeter, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, Swagger, Nexus, Apigee, GitHub/GitLab (or equivalents).
  
  
• Proficiency in Java, Bash, Curl, XML, JSON, SQL, Python, or JavaScript.
  
  
• Experience working in AWS and/or C2S environments.
  
  
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.
