Associate software engineer

Job Description:

• Collaborate with team members to design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy ThingWorx Analytics software using agile methodology.
• Work closely with the ThingWorx Analytics R&D team while following best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Develop products using ThingWorx, JavaScript, and Spring Boot for manufacturers to manage and analyze production.
• Deliver rapid integration of software features.
• Configured Jenkins pipelines to attach visualized TestNG system test reports to optimize failure analysis.
• Write python scripts, helm chart and related tests for azure deployments.
• Optimize stored procedures in a MySQL database to improve the GET API performance.

Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.

Job requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an Associate Software Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

• Demonstrable experience developing web applications or enterprise applications using Java, JavaScript and using Agile/Scrum methodology for product development.
• Demonstrable experience using Git version-controlled systems.
• Demonstrable experience in SQL to support relational database such as PostgreSQL or similar.
• Demonstrable experience with Jenkins to run pipelines for build, test automation as continuous integration tool, and Maven to manage build dependencies and automation.
• Demonstrable experience using Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications.
• Demonstrable experience using Spring to create backend services that provide data to analytics applications.
• Demonstrable experience with REST to allow Microservices to communicate with each other.
