Job Description

As a Security Guard - Academic Patrol Rounds in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and strong communication skills will contribute to building positive relationships while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the educational location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities within the premises.
• Assist staff, students, and visitors with security-related concerns and inquiries.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members to maintain a welcoming and secure environment conducive to the educational setting.
• Document and communicate observations, incidents, and actions taken according to site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
