Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive test cases for backend systems and APIs.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks to support API, integration, and regression testing.
• Develop and execute API automation (Rest Assured, Postman) and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate services deployed to AWS and Kubernetes environments and support testing of microservices and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps to ensure quality-first delivery and support defect analysis.
• Monitor test results, logs, and metrics to continuously improve automation and observability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in QA/Test Automation or SDET roles with a strong focus on backend and API testing.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java; hands-on experience with Rest Assured and API automation tools.
• Experience testing microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-based deployments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab) and integrating automated tests into pipelines.
• Knowledge of logging/monitoring tools (ELK/Kibana) and exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience or familiarity with Kafka, event-driven systems, and general DevOps practices is a plus.
