Manufacturing Director (multi-site Plant Manager)

The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for providing functional leadership across the company’s manufacturing footprint in the region, covering multiple plants. This leader will also serve directly as Plant Manager for a facility in Philadelphia, ensuring safe, reliable, cost-effective operations at the company’s flagship site. The incumbent oversees Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Quality, embedding a Lean, TQM, and continuous improvement culture across the plants. They are accountable for delivering operational excellence, compliance, and customer satisfaction while coaching high-performing teams. The role also partners closely with the Regional Supply Chain Director and cross-functional leaders to deliver on time, in full, at the expected quality.

Experience:

10–15 years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations, including multi-site leadership and direct plant management.

Strong track record in production leadership, maintenance, engineering projects, EHS, and Quality systems.

Hands-on leadership of large-scale manufacturing sites (>100 employees),

ERP system knowledge required (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)

Demonstrated use of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, TPM, VSM).

Experience with ISO 9001 or comparable certifications.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) Master’s preferred.

Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

ASQ or ISO training a plus.

Drive continuous improvement across sites in OEE, efficiency, and cost performance.

Partner with Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Finance to align capacity, new product launches, and quality standards with business objectives.

Lead capital projects for expansions, new equipment, and process automation.

Champion EHS compliance and continuous improvement across all plants.
