You will manage visitor and employee access, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Assist with protecting exhibits, collections, equipment, and restricted areas by reporting observed concerns and following established site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
