Job Description

The Pipelayer supports commercial and industrial refrigeration projects by installing underground piping systems that supply refrigerant, glycol, water, drainage, and related utilities. This role combines traditional trenching and pipe-installation duties with the technical requirements of refrigeration piping, including proper insulation, slope control, and preparation for brazing or welding by certified technicians. The position requires precision, strong mechanical aptitude, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Hours: Monday - Friday 6am-3pm with potential on-call

Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

• Install underground piping systems for refrigeration projects.
• Ensure proper insulation and slope control of piping.
• Prepare piping for brazing or welding by certified technicians.
• Adhere strictly to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of pipefitting experience.
• Experience with refrigeration lines and copper lines.
• Skill in pipe cutting and installation.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Prior commercial construction experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a pipelayer, utility installer, or mechanical laborer.
• Familiarity with copper, PVC, HDPE, and steel piping systems.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
