Position Overview:

Position Overview: The Catasauqua Area School District is seeking a dedicated School Counselor to provide comprehensive support in career, academic, and social/emotional development. This is a full time, 10-month position, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. This position reports directly to the Building Principal. Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling for academic, career, and personal/social needs.• Prepare students for career pathways through exploration and decision-making activities. Coordinate with parents, staff, and community agencies to support student development. Participate in student support teams (SAP, IST, MTSS) and faculty meetings. Manage student transitions, orientation, and class placement. Plan, interpret, and report on standardized testing programs. Consult on pupil records and maintain communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Education (School Counseling concentration). PA School Counselor Certification.

Valid Driver's License.

PA Criminal Background Check • PA Child Abuse History Clearance • FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
