Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Scott Family Health Clinic, 375th Medical Group, Scott AFB, IL 62225. Secondary/Alternate 375th MDG O'Fallon Family Medicine Clinic, St. Elizabeth Hospital, O'Fallon, IL 62269.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts between 0700 1700.

Qualifications:

• Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

• Graduate from a college or university accredited by ACEN or CCNE

• Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience in a direct patient care clinical setting (hospital or clinic).

• Experience providing patient education, health promotion, and counseling.

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and supervising junior staff.

• Demonstrated ability to recognize emergency conditions and respond appropriately.

• License/Certification:

• Current, valid, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction, free of limitations or adverse actions, maintained throughout employment.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA is required.

• Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.

• Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and health histories.

• Administer medications, immunizations, wound care, and other clinical interventions as ordered.

• Provide patient and family education on disease prevention, treatment plans, and lifestyle management.

• Monitor and evaluate patient responses, promptly recognizing and addressing adverse signs or emergencies.

• Facilitate referrals and coordinate specialty care as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all standards of care, policies, and procedures at the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).

• Participate in clinic huddles, care team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Supervise, guide, and delegate tasks to junior nursing staff and support personnel based on scope of practice.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA requirements.

• Support research, training, and continuous improvement efforts to optimize patient outcomes.
