Dish Washer
Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized dish area throughout each shift
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks as needed
- Remove trash and recycling while following proper safety procedures
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly
- Keep kitchen surfaces, sinks, and storage areas clean and sanitized
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff
- Help maintain a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment
Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not require
Physical Requirement
- Standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift
- Ability to work around hot equipment, water, and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to maintain a quick and steady pace during busy service periods
