Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Crematory Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining cremation equipment, ensuring that all processes are conducted in a respectful and professional manner. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and empathy.

Shift expectation: Thurs- Friday 4PM-1am Saturday and Sunday (open)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act with a high level of uncompromising integrity, ethics and compassion for the care of deceased pets
  • Work within established safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE equipment
  • Complete all required documentation in an accurate, organized and legible manner
  • Properly label all deceased pets prior to the start of the cremation process
  • Prepare and package cremated pet remains with care and dignity
  • Deliver cremated remains to the appropriate party
  • Maintain the crematorium, equipment and adjacent facilities
  • Promote positive working relationships and efficient and effective communication
  • Communicate effectively with all hospital teams to find solutions and resolve concerns
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary

Preferred Education & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Certification to operate crematory equipment required
  • Previous animal care background is a plus
