Medical Records Technician
Since 1905, The Bradley Center has continually served children and families in need. Today, the residential treatment facility provides 24 hour care and trauma-informed treatment to children who have a history of trauma and who may present with a wide range of challenges.
We are seeking a Medical Records Technician to organize and direct the activities of the Medical Records Department.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Maintains accuracy of all client related charts
- Tracks deficiencies and keeps staff and supervisors informed
- Ensures all documentation is filed in a timely manner
- Completing record requests
Qualifications best suited for this position:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizational skills
- Analytical thinking
- Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy laws
- Ability to work in a team environment
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in the Health Information Management or related field required
- Knowledge of regulatory agency standards including Joint Commission, State Department of Health, and HCFA required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
