Part Time Math Support Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Math Support Teacher to provide small group math support for students in the lower grades (3-5).
The ideal candidate will have experience in math instruction, an understanding of differentiated instruction, and a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. The hours are from 12:15 - 3:15.
The Part-Time Math Support Teacher is a trusted professional who maintains confidentiality and interacts with all constituencies with respect. The Math Support Teacher will collaborate directly with classroom teachers to tailor small-group instruction while maintaining open communication with parents to support student progress and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted math support to small groups of students in grades 3-5, helping to improve foundational skills.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to understand student needs, monitor progress, and adapt instruction accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and administrators.
Participate in meetings with student support teams to discuss individual student progress and strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
Qualifications, Competencies, & Characteristics:
A bachelor's degree in education, or special education. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience in math instruction, particularly in small group settings.
Familiarity with classroom accommodations and differentiation strategies for diverse learners.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
