FORKLIFT OPERATOR - 1ST SHIFT

The Forklift Operator operates various industrial powered equipment to move work in process during the manufacturing of mosaic tile. This position is located in our body prep department on 1st shift with a schedule of Monday – Thursday 4:00 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate of pay is $21.96.

Major Functions & Scope:

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to transport work in progress or finished product.
• Removes and empties scrap and waste containers.
• Documents and tracks simple inventory of work in process.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education & Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.
• Prior forklift operating experience required.

• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
