Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Family Medicine Residency Program Director to lead and oversee our ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program while actively practicing as a Family Medicine Physician.
This role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure a high-quality educational environment, compliance with ACGME requirements, and the development of future healthcare leaders. The Program Director also plays a key role in clinical care delivery, faculty development, and community partnership building.
Key Responsibilities:Program Leadership- Lead, administer, and maintain the Family Medicine Residency Program in compliance with ACGME standards
- Oversee resident recruitment, evaluation, promotion, and mentorship
- Chair the Clinical Competency Committee and guide program evaluation processes
- Develop and enhance curriculum, including didactics, clinical rotations, and competency-based education
- Ensure a positive learning environment that promotes wellness, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Lead annual program reviews and strategic planning initiatives
- Manage faculty recruitment, development, and performance evaluation
- Provide direct patient care and precept residents in an outpatient setting
- Maintain a consistent clinical schedule (minimum patient volume expectations apply)
- Participate in on-call rotation, including occasional weekends and holidays
- Ensure compliance with clinical quality standards, documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
- Deliver lectures, lead conferences, and facilitate resident learning experiences
- Provide mentorship and individualized learning plans for residents
- Participate in scholarly activity and academic development
- Support ACGME accreditation preparation and compliance

Qualifications
· MD or DO degree required
· Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFP)
· Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency
· Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain)
· Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certifications
· Minimum of 3 years of leadership, educational, or administrative experience in GME
· Demonstrated experience in residency teaching, curriculum development, and evaluation
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred :
· Prior experience as core faculty or leadership in an ACGME-accredited residency program
· Scholarly activity (publications, presentations, research, etc.)
· Experience with quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
