Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2026\.
In this role, you will:
- Develop the System\-level Requirements/Verification Baseline
- Plan Verification, Validation and Certification execution
- Collaborate with the SEIT organization to create end\-to\-end integrated solutions
- Support a value driven Systems Engineering team and drive design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\.
**Basic Qualifications:**
- Coursework in systems, mechanical, electrical engineering, or relevant field
- Proficient in complex problem solving requiring multidisciplinary thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team\-based environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- U\.S\. citizenship required with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
**Desired Skills:**
- Excellent communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, customers, and leadership\.
- Experience with System or System of Systems level design
- Active DoD security clearance
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
