- About the RoleAs a Litigation Associate based in our Philadelphia office, you will serve as a strategic advocate on a wide array of high-profile commercial disputes. You will navigate every phase of the litigation lifecycle - from initial case evaluation and deep legal research to drafting sophisticated pleadings and executing courtroom strategy. This role is designed for a practitioner who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to gain high-level, hands-on experience in a robust practice that values professional growth and independent initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Case Strategy & Execution: Lead and support complex commercial litigation matters, developing creative and aggressive legal strategies for diverse business disputes.
- Advanced Writing & Pleadings: Draft high-level briefs, motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda for sophisticated state and federal court matters.
- Discovery & Depositions: Manage complex discovery processes, including taking and defending depositions, reviewing documents, and handling evidentiary issues.
- Courtroom Advocacy: Navigate intricate rules of civil procedure to advocate effectively for clients in both state and federal jurisdictions.
- Collaborative Counsel: Deliver efficient legal services as a key member of a multidisciplinary litigation team, ensuring the highest quality of client service.
- Experience: 4-6 years of dedicated commercial litigation experience within a reputable law firm environment.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth, masterful knowledge of the rules of civil procedure for both state and federal courts, alongside excellent legal research skills.
- Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice and in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar.
- Academic Background: JD from an accredited law school with a distinguished academic record and excellent communication skills.
