About the Role


A person in this position performs a variety of job duties designed to ensure that direct client care responsibilities are carried out efficiently and with the highest quality of service. Assignments are varied in nature and are performed under the direct supervision of the Administrative Director. A person in this position provides direct supervision to the BC/MT staff and clinical support and training to the BHT employees.
Responsibilities



  • Directly supervises BC-ABA/Assistant BC-ABA staff and ensures that their work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements, corporate policies and procedures, and sound clinical practices.
  • Provides initial and ongoing training for BHT-ABA and BC-ABA/Assistant BC-ABA workers and ensures that all training requirements are adhered to in the specified time frames as dictated by corporate policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and maintains a training calendar for the purpose of efficiently scheduling and coordinating the training needs to comply with the business goals and objectives established for accepting and assigning client referrals.
  • May train key employees to properly instruct OR facilitate training courses.
  • Completing and documenting a clinical record review for quality of the IBHS provided and compliance with the IBHS regulations and documenting the outcomes of the review quarterly.
  • Maintains accurate up-to-date training files and provides updated information to the Administrative Director on a monthly basis.
  • Evaluates training needs on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations to the Administrative Director for additional trainings or revisions which would enhance the quality and the productivity of work performance.
  • Coordinates activities with the IBHS Case Manager to ensure that BHT-ABA workers are assigned and scheduled with the appropriate BC-ABA/Assistant BC-ABA to maximize the available hours in conjunction with the planned needs of the client.
  • Randomly, on a weekly basis, samples case notes and documentation relating to client services to validate the quality and quantity of services provided; reports findings to the Administrative Director and assists in the formal notifications of findings required by the Compliance Department.
  • Reviews clinical notes and ensures that BC-ABA/Assistant BC-ABA, BHT-ABA, and IBHS Case Managers are properly trained in completing all work and administrative related duties in the acceptable standard set forth by upper level management.
  • Ensures reauthorizations occurs based on information provided by the IBHS Case Managers.
  • Performs related work as required.
  • Provides indirect and direct supervision to the BC-ABA/Assistant BC-ABA staff and clinical support and training to BHT-ABA employees.
  • Ensuring that staff who provide IBHS are supervised in accordance with the IBHS regulations.
Required Qualifications


A clinical director of an IBHS agency that provides ABA services shall meet one of the following:

  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a physician practicing psychiatry, psychologist, certified registered nurse practitioner, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, behavior specialist, social worker or other professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis and a minimum of 2 years of experience in providing ABA services.
  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist and have a minimum of 5 years of full-time experience providing clinical oversight of an ABA program and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA.
  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist and have a graduate degree or graduate certificate in ABA from a college or university.
  • Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
  • Be licensed in this Commonwealth as a physician practicing psychiatry, psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, certified registered nurse practitioner with a mental health certification or clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist or other professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services.
  • A certification as a BCBA.* Ability to pass PA Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances
  • Leadership/supervision experience preferred but not required



PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Master’s Degree in the mental health field.
  • 2-5 years BCBA experience and/or training.
