Design Engineer – Civil/Structural

Reports to: Department Lead Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with strong civil/structural expertise to join our Engineering Division in Canonsburg, PA. This role involves structural design, engineering analysis, and project support across a variety of building and equipment support structure projects. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, client-focused, and comfortable managing both engineering deliverables and project coordination responsibilities .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and review structural design calculations for a wide range of projects.

• Develop and analyze structural models using STAAD Pro and other engineering tools.

• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering specifications and construction estimates .

• Troubleshoot and provide engineering solutions for field and project-related challenges.

• Provide technical oversight, administrative support, and supervisory guidance on projects of varying size and complexity.

• Participate in client, vendor, and internal coordination meetings , ensuring clear communication and technical alignment.

• Ensure all deliverables meet industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations .

Qualifications & Skills

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).

• 8 - 10+ years of related civil/structural engineering experience .

• Proficiency in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design.

• Strong background in building and equipment support structure design .

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
