Field Service Engineer
All-Fill designs, manufactures, and services high-end industrial packaging equipment for industries from food and agriculture to pharmaceutical and nutraceutical. We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer who will use our Exton, PA facility as their home base and travel domestically (minimum 50%) to customer sites to install, repair, and optimize All-Fill machinery. Candidates must be able to report to the Exton office daily when not traveling. This is not a remote position.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, maintain, and train customers on All-Fill equipment
- Diagnose technical issues and implement solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams
- Program components and run Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
- Produce detailed service reports
- Conduct on-site inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
- Assist with commissioning and start-up of new machines
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting to customer operators
- Support spare parts identification, ordering, and inventory management
- Maintain and update technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and manuals
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations during all service activities
- Identify and communicate opportunities for machine upgrades or improvements to engineering
- Provide remote support to customers when on-site presence isn't possible
- Train internal staff on new equipment features and updates
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for service processes and customer support
Competencies:
- Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation software experience (license provided)
- Integration experience preferred (hardware, software, controls)
- Strong mechanical and technical knowledge of industrial equipment
- Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders, and work long days on-site
- Willingness to travel extensively from Exton, PA (minimum 50%)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid driver's license
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
A Field Service Engineer will be subject to many different work environments. They will be very familiar with All-Fill's manufacturing facility as that's where they will be based out of. They will also be exposed to our customers' facilities, environments, and products. These workplace environments and products include, but are not limited to, industrial sectors within the agricultural, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, and other industries with packaging needs. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones.

There are occasions when a Field Service Engineer will be required to perform heavy lifting on our equipment. They also must be able to endure long hours at customer facilities and possible jet lag due to travel. A Field Service Engineer will often be subject to high-stress environments when assisting customers with meeting their intense production demands and requirements.
- Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist.
- Must be able to climb a ladder.
- Maximum unassisted lift = 100 lbs. Average lift less than 20 lbs.
- Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols.
- Exposure to varied travel conditions either driving or flying.
- The travel required for this position is a minimum of 50%.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time salaried non-exempt position with overtime requirements. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Weekend work includes bonus pay.

Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma/Associate's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical field + 10 years field service experience, OR
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical field + 5 years field service experience
