Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary
The Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work on restoration and reconstruction projects, including framing, drywall, trim, flooring, and structural repairs. This role requires strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in both occupied and vacant environments. The Carpenter will complete assigned scopes according to Green Tec’s standards of quality, safety, and customer service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
General Carpentry
- Perform residential and commercial carpentry tasks: framing, drywall installation/finishing, trim, doors, windows, and flooring.
- Complete demolition, rebuilds, and structural repairs as outlined in project scope.
- Measure, cut, and install materials using power tools and hand tools safely and accurately.
- Ensure all work meets code requirements and company quality standards.
- Repair damage caused by water, fire, mold, and other perils.
- Replace insulation, subflooring, drywall, baseboards, and other materials affected by mitigation or demolition.
- Work with project managers to ensure reconstruction aligns with adjuster estimates and homeowner expectations.
- Review scope of work prior to starting the job.
- Maintain daily jobsite cleanliness and safety.
- Document progress with photos and updates in CRM (if applicable).
- Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and other trades as required.
- Interact professionally with homeowners, tenants, and property managers.
- Communicate job progress, delays, or material needs promptly.
- Protect customer property using coverings and proper containment.
- 2–5 years of residential carpentry experience required (restoration experience preferred).
- Strong skills in framing, drywall, trim, flooring, and finish carpentry.
- Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and scopes of work.
- Must have own basic tools (company provides specialty tools as needed).
- Valid driver’s license required with clean MVR preferred.
- Ability to pass background check, if required.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when needed.
- Stand/walk for prolonged periods.
- Work in various conditions (heat, cold, smoke-affected structures, etc.).
- Residential & commercial structures (occupied and unoccupied)
- Exposure to construction hazards, dust, noise, and debris
- PPE required (gloves, mask, boots, safety goggles, etc.)
