Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility by ensuring equipment reliability, safe work practices, and efficient execution of maintenance tasks. This role involves hands‑on troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across a variety of industrial systems.
Hourly Payrate: $28 to $34 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct inspections, adjustments, and component replacements as needed.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks according to established plans.
- Assist in identifying equipment performance issues and recommending improvements.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical expertise during equipment setup, calibration, and testing.
- Support production teams by addressing equipment concerns and ensuring safe operation.
- Work with vendors or contractors when specialized repairs or services are required.
Inventory & Resource Support:
- Maintain accurate records of tools, parts, and supplies used during maintenance activities.
- Assist in identifying needed spare parts and reporting low inventory levels.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Record maintenance work performed, equipment performance data, and any issues identified.
- Communicate equipment status and repair needs to appropriate personnel.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, including mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software or CMMS systems.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and external service providers.
- Clear communication skills for reporting issues and documenting work.
Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Skilled in identifying root causes and implementing practical, timely solutions.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Experience using electronic maintenance or CMMS systems required.
