Lab Research Assistant

Title: Lab Research Assistant
Location: Media, PA
Type: Contract, 6 months/potential to renew or convert pending business needs and performance
Schedule: 8-4/5pm
Pay Rate: $21-$23/hr.
Start Date: ASAP

Joule is looking to hire a Medical Assistant with some experience in clinical research. This position will give you the opportunity to work with Clinical Research Coordinators ensuring the patients are meeting the protocol requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lab processing for an average of 30 ongoing trials, each with their own procedures and requirements for processing, storage, and shipping
• Perform blood draws
• Perform vitals, EKG’s and other study procedures as directed by Study Coordinator
• Disinfect lab and exam rooms daily
• Inspect exam rooms daily for needed supplies and dispose of any biohazard and sharps containers
• Work with the Head of Site Operations to perform ongoing quality audits of lab
• Inspect lab daily for needed supplies
• Perform administrative duties like scanning documents, ordering office supplies and uploading receipts for invoicing as instructed by the operations manager or lead Study coordinator

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, some college preferred
• Must have lab processing experience
• Phlebotomy experience required (adult and pediatric)
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
