ERP / Business Systems Developer

The ERP/Business Systems Developer is an integral part of the IT team whose purpose is to provide technical, developmental and creative support to facilitate the efficient processing of data through the network and ERP systems. The successful candidate must possess a high level of accuracy and be able to see the big picture as well as be adept with details. Must be proactive, forward thinking and have the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, courtesy, customer service and ethics. The position reports to the ERP Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and customize within the Epicor ERP toolset including screen customizations, BPMs, BAQs, dashboards, and Crystal/SSRS reports.


• Install Epicor patches and facilitate the upgrade process


• Facilitate the integration of Epicor with other third-party applications


• Test and validate upgrades and software


• Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls


• Assist in maintaining and developing highly complex Excel spreadsheets


• Work with a variety of departments to identify, evaluate, design and implement creative business and technology solutions


• Maintain highly detailed documentation of all customizations and development work


• Provide end user support and training for ERP, including trouble shooting operational issues.

POSITION requirements

Skills & Abilities

• Technical expertise with Epicor ERP software, including BAQs, BPMs, and customizations


• C# and MS SQL programming skills.


• Expert Microsoft Excel skills


• Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills


• Possesses the willingness and aptitude to ‘figure it out’


• Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment

• Strong project management capabilities


• Is detail and process oriented

Education, Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree in IT or related field preferred.


• 5+ years of experience in Epicor ERP


• Experience/Knowledge of manufacturing industry


• Finance or Accounting experience preferred


• Demonstrated practical experience. Candidate will provide a portfolio of their work.

Salary is based on experience. Hours of employment are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday with flexibility to work after hours as needed. This position allows for a hybrid work schedule to include days on site as needed.
