For this High School Geometry Teacher position, you'll be working for one of our two high schools in Philadelphia. Philadelphia Magazine recently named Freire Charter High School (#18) and TECH Freire Charter High School (#26) among the top high schools in Philadelphia. As a member of Freire's instructional team, you will implement high-quality, standards-aligned curriculum to drive rigorous instruction, critical thinking, and high achievement in your classroom, while remaining open to feedback and instructional coaching.

• Foster a classroom environment grounded in critical thinking, academic rigor, mutual respect, and high expectations for all students.
• Implement high-quality, content-specific curriculum and design instructional materials that promote deep thinking and problem-solving.
• Maintain consistent, proactive communication with families regarding student progress and relevant school updates.
• Engage fully in professional development and collaborate closely with colleagues to best support student learning and growth.
• Teachers hired at Freire Charter High School (20th & Chestnut St.) have the opportunity to be CREW Leaders and will co-lead a class focusing on SEL and community building twice a week.

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid state teaching certification, or a clear ability and commitment to obtain certification
• Strong content-area knowledge and instructional skill
• Positive, solution-oriented mindset with a work ethic and collaborative spirit
• Minimum of two years of successful experience working with diverse student populations

Salaries for certified teachers entering their first year start at $60,000, with an overall salary range of $50,000–$85,000 based on experience and qualifications.
