EHS Manager
Location: York, PA
Pay: $80-100k/yr.
Description:
- The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and programs that ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This role plays a critical part in fostering a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in a discrete heavy manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar credential preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
- US Citizenship at time of hire
Job Duties:
Safety Program Management
- Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (EPA, DEP, etc.).
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, air and water permits, and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain records and submit required environmental reports.
Training & Communication
- Deliver safety training for new hires and ongoing employee education.
- Promote safety awareness through campaigns, meetings, and signage.
- Serve as the point of contact for all EHS-related matters.
Regulatory & Reporting
- Maintain OSHA logs and ensure timely reporting of incidents.
- Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
- Stay current with changes in EHS laws and regulations.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Coordinate drills and ensure readiness for fire, chemical, or weather-related emergencies.
