Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation for various dietary needs within the dietary department.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and coordinate catering services as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking utensils and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Skills
- Strong experience in meal preparation and food service within a professional kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and menu planning to accommodate diverse customer needs.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Previous experience as a cook or dietary aide is preferred but not required.
