As a Dietary Aide, you will be integral to our dietary department, ensuring the preparation and serving of nutritious meals that meet our residents' dietary needs. Reporting to the Dietary Manager, you will utilize your core skills in food handling, customer service, and food safety to create a welcoming dining experience. Your premium experience in assisted living or nursing homes will enhance our culinary offerings, while your relevant skills in meal preparation and sanitation will ensure compliance with health standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met during food handling and preparation.
• Assist in serving meals and providing excellent customer service to residents.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
• Manage inventory and assist with food production as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and handling within a dietary department
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals preferred
• Culinary experience and time management skills are a plus
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen environment
