Custodian / Facilities Support

Position Summary

Esbenshade’s is seeking a dependable, hardworking Custodian / Facilities Support team member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in our warehouse and office spaces. This role is essential to the daily appearance, cleanliness, and overall functionality of our facility.

The ideal candidate takes pride in doing quality work, works well independently, and is flexible enough to support a variety of cleaning and facility-related tasks. If you are reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoy helping keep a workplace running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay

$17.00–$19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Facility Upkeep

• Maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of offices, restrooms, lunchroom, and warehouse areas.
• Clean offices daily or as needed, including vacuuming carpets, emptying trash, and cleaning windows, sills, and blinds.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms daily or as needed, including floors, sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, and trash removal, while restocking paper products and other supplies.
• Clean and maintain the lunchroom daily or as needed, including floors, sinks, countertops, appliances, tables, and trash removal.
• Empty trash containers throughout the warehouse on a daily basis.
• Dust mop and perform general floor cleaning throughout the warehouse, rotating through sections to ensure the full warehouse is completed weekly.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment on a daily basis.

Supplies & General Support

• Monitor inventory levels for cleaning products, restroom supplies, and lunchroom supplies, and notify management when restocking is needed.
• Assist with snow and ice removal at the warehouse entrance as needed.
• Support additional facility-related tasks and other duties as assigned by a supervisor or member of management.

Teamwork & Safety

• Maintain professional, respectful communication with coworkers, managers, vendors, and delivery drivers.
• Adapt to changing priorities and business needs throughout the workday.
• Follow all company safety policies and use care in all work activities.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience required
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and stay on top of daily responsibilities
• Positive attitude and professional approach to working with others
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality work

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Approximately 35 hours per week, based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including dust, heat, cool temperatures, and high humidity
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
