Accounting Manager

We are working on behalf of a well-established organization seeking an Accounting Manager to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and ready to take ownership of key accounting functions while supporting leadership and partnering with internal teams.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, solid Excel ability, and the confidence to jump into both higher-level accounting work and detailed transactional support when needed.

Accounting Manager Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong month-end close, journal entry, and account reconciliation experience
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort learning new systems
• Experience supporting internal controls, process improvements, and accounting procedures
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively across departments
• Prior experience overseeing or mentoring accounting staff preferred
• Familiarity with Sage or similar accounting software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving skills

Accounting Manager Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the month-end close process
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Develop weekly financial summaries and reporting for management review
• Assist with cash forecasting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Manage credit card activity, software integrations, and related accounting processes
• Oversee fixed assets, construction in progress, inventory, and related accounting cycles
• Support billing processes, contractual accounting, and operational accounting needs
• Assist with external audits and internal control improvements
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency
• Support AP and AR operations as needed
• Provide guidance and support to accounting team members
• Partner with internal departments and provide strong customer service to operational teams
• Assist with additional accounting projects and analysis as needed

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range of $85,000–$100,000 based on experience
