We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Support Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on digitizing, organizing, and maintaining documents to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.
Key Responsibilities- Operate scanning equipment to digitize paper documents.
- Ensure scanned files are clear, complete, and properly formatted.
- Sort and categorize documents according to company filing systems.
- Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems for easy access.
- Verify accuracy of scanned documents against originals and correct errors as needed.
- Upload scanned files to designated databases or shared drives.
- Label and index files for quick retrieval.
- Handle sensitive information in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and retention regulations.
- Assist with shredding or archiving old documents.
- Support other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Proficiency in document scanning and data entry.
- Experience with filing and document management systems.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scanning software/scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in document management or clerical work is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move files or boxes up to 25–30 lbs.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting and operating scanning equipment.
This position operates in a standard office environment with a Monday–Friday schedule. Start times are negotiable between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
